Day at the zoo..

(Sorry for the disorganization..I'm still new to all of this :)).

The weather has been pretty wacky lately and of all days, we decided to venture out and explore the zoo with the kids. It was EXTREMELY hot out (last weekend we were wearing jackets)! We were practically melting before we even made it up to the gate. We had a ton of fun despite the heat and the kids LOVED the water feature they have. Corbin was even taking several steps all by himself today too (he has been doing that for a few weeks now, but he was really going for it today). He still isn't fully walking yet, but I give it a few more weeks and I'm sure he'll be a full time walker.

She's a Turtle

Tatum has been going to Teacher Lynda's swim school for 2 months now (one day a week for a half an hour). I am SO glad we signed her up. She loves going and she loves Teacher Corbin. She will get on her play phones at home pretending to call him (I think she may have a secret crush on him :)). We are going to keep signing her up until she is a full time swimmer. Teacher Corbin told us she's almost done being a Turtle and is almost ready to move on to the next level. Tatum used to hover over by the steps and never wanted to get in all of the way before we started here. Now, I'll take her swimming at Lifetime Fitness and she uses her arms and kicks her legs and puts her head in all of the way. It makes me so proud to see her like this. I was on a private swim team for several years growing up and I really hope I can pass the torch to her.

Girls Night Out

Tatum and I went to my friend Ashley's wedding over the weekend. Now that Tatum is finally getting older, we are starting to do more of these "girls night out" trips together. I love the bonding time! Daddy stayed at home with Corbin.

Finally...

Yesterday, Corbin finally decided to take his first few steps unassisted. Daryl was here to witness it which was really cool!
